About Water changes. Formally I never missed a week and tank looked good, but certain things were lacking
- Coraline Algae (even though cal was over 500 and Alk about 10 dkh)
-Hair algae even with RODI, minimal feeding, reactor, monster skimmer seem to not improve with WC's, that seemed to minimalize as I cut down on the WC's and almost all gone now

in the three weeks I stopped and substituted with dosing and and stopped messing with the tank I get almost no green algae anywhere, coraline forming on my machinary and back. As well corals look more open than ever.

Could the freh RODI water/Salt be less beneficial then a tank left to do its thing ?(Assuming the necessary equipment for nutrient reduction is in place)

There's a guy on, ReefCentral I think, who hasn't performed a water change in I think 5+ years. Everyone was giving him a hard time about it.
