I had one for my 10 gallons tank.. it worked for me but one day while I was cleaning, water got into the power generator and burned out... my bad.. calling them to get a replacement was a pain.. aside of my mistake.. the product was ok... but u know.. u can put an extra hundred and you can get a chiller... JMO..
Do you realize you need to drill a hole in the tank to use this?
Take a look at the instruction manual on the link.
You also need to purchase a temperature controller to use it.(approx an added $50)
As someone suggested , you might be better off purchasing a regular chiller
I agreed with Kathy.. u better off getting a chiller.. I bought the one that comes with canister filter and the controller .. total was 200 bucks.. add that one hundrend more and you can get a chiller..
I had the Iceprobe chiller on my Nano Cube 12G and it didn't really help me anything. My old apartment was hot without AC. Yes, if the room temp goes down, it does drop down the temp little more but so does my fan. Actually I found out that blowing regular fan on top of the tank works much much better than Iceprobe but it does evaporated ALOT.
If you are getting used one, which I did pay for used one for $30, it's worth of trying it out. But I wouldn't buy the brand new with that price. Save little more and get the real chiller.
