Hi everyone,

My skimmer died right before I left for vacation for a week. Anyway I need to get a new skimmer. I was thinking ASM or Euroreef. Can anyone recommend either or a different skimmer all together. It can be in sump or external as my current is out of the sump connceted to an PANWorld (MD40rlt). I had the aqua-c esv series. It was a little underrated for my tank but did the job considering my phosphates were .02 most of the time according to the hanna meter. Anyway my tank is pretty heavly stocked with fish for an sps tank. I did a water change right before I left and I am hoping to limp along until I get back.

Skimmer!

Hello,

It would help if you provided a little more information. Mainly what sized tank is this going on? Another thing if you'd like an in-sump skimmer what is the largest footprint that your sump will handle. If you supply that information you will probably have some people who are running a skimmer that will work on your set up and you can hear how well it works for them. It will also help with people suggesting a skimmer that might not work on your system.

Good Luck :approve:

Sorry good point. I am down in the Caribbean looking to replace my skimmer while on vacation. I must be crazy. Anyway it is 210 gallon tank with 150 gallon sump in the basement. Total water volume 360 gallons. Heavily loaded SPS tank with a lot of fish. I can accommodate just about any skimmer in my sump. It is the 150 gallon rubbermade tub.

I want to see a picture of your tank :D

If you want a cheap way out I would get a bubble master 250. It skims more on the wet side but it does work very well.
