Hello everyone, I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations for an AutoCAD or Similar software application (Windows Vista Compatible) that I can use for designing my 150 gallon Reef Aquarium. Thank you for any assistance your can lend.

i'm running on an old vector works version from 10 years ago.

I've seen some really great sketch-up drawings. I think you just have to work with it a while to get what you want.

I have one friend going to school to be an architect, and he uses Sketch-up.

I have another friend who uses sketch up to design circuit boards, and to design aluminum parts to be cut by a CNC Mill.

Google sketchs works great if you play with it. Not something your gonna make draft quality prints with the first time but with practice you will.

Sketchup is by far the fastest and easiest program to use. When you first start out with it sketchup seems kind of crappy but as soon as you figure out the more advanced stuff it blows ACad away. My architect is always coming to me for Sketchup stuff, he love the 3D renderings and how easy it is for me to turn his ACad in 3D and then I can do print layouts to scale as well. I have also been doing shop drawings for a metal fabricator in Sketchup as well, it can realy get down to the nitty-gritty on the how things are supposed to work. I love it!
