Sorry I was j/king. I do know some LFS owner smoke but never see them smoke next to the tank always outside. I smoke next to my own tank tho.

The only negative effects is the lower oxygen levels in the water.. but that is pretty much negated by customers always walking in and out and bringing fresh air in the store. Its much worse in a home environment where the doors are shut almost all the time.
