hey guys,
i have a 250 w de 14k hamil in a RO III pendant with a MEGA elec ballast,

a few days ago i noticed my light turned off early, checked timer( AC jr) all seting are fine,

when the light turns on bulb flashes for several minutes then goes on full strngth for an hour before turning off????

the bukb is about a month or 2 old, looks fine when lit..

do you think thi is def a ballast problem??

does anyone in SI have an extra i can borrow???

Sorry to hear about the ballast. I still have your old bluewave ballast here as a back up of a back up of a back up of a back up. Jhale is here right now and I can give it to him. He lives in the west village which would make it easier for you to pickup. Just send him a PM with your contact number and you can meet up with him.

thanks herman, i wont be near the city for a few weeks, thanks, if i need it i wll let you know.

i have my old bulb still, phoneix, i will try that first
i figured since it fires up and looks good it was fine. but i dont fully understand how a bulb is fired up

for the record I live in greenwich village, not the west village. not that anything is wrong with the west village.

Mike if you need the ballast I can bring it to the swap in two weeks, I hope you find a replacement before then, if it is the ballast.

It might be the bulb as phil has pointed out :)

i believe its a ballast issue.

Hamilton bulbs SUCK!

I had 2 go out for no reason. (1) was 3 months old & the other was only a week old.
Try another bulb before blaming the ballast like I did.
