RODI water in Manhattan

Hey everyone!

Long time reefer here that recently relocated to NYC. I have been planning a new nano setup for my (small, walk-up) apartment. How do most people source water for tanks? I used to purchase all of my water from my LFS and transport it home for initial setup and water changes. I’m not very familiar with at-home RODI setups. Any other options here?

rodi with a sink adapter, its pretty straight forward and overall way cheaper, you can buy a rodi unit used from a tank breakdown for a fraction of the cost, the resin/ cartridges can be brought off amazon or mosreef.

If it is just a nano you could either buy distilled water or order RODI from a local aquarium maintenance service. I use Manhattan Aquariums to deliver some RODI and premixed saltwater when I need it. Not the most cost effective thing obviously but it eliminates the need to run RODI on your own.

Yes, the store closed, but New York Aquarium Service still supports a lot of customers.
