I test once a week and use both the Salifert and Hanna for phosphates. The Salifert gives a color reading which is a ballpark reading and then I use the Hanna to double check it with an actual digital reading. In a SPS system phosphate are an important element to keep track of and I maintain it below .1
But to answer your question the Salifert is a lot easier with no waiting. The Hanna is mixing the regent for about a minute and a half then waiting three minutes for the result.
Hello Mike NY, I like Hanna because you get a reading number. Where Red Sea or Salifert. Your guessing on the closest color. Hanna to me puts out three ecellent read outs. Alk, PH, Phoshate test.
