well. hope y'all had a nice weekend.

so.... this morning we get up roll about our routine and get ready to head out to watch the finals. she says, "hey, what's this?". naturally i drop everything and go to the tank. the lighting is awful, but you can see the are where most of these suckers were. the bigger white spots in the full shot are starfish. since i cleaned the tank and did a 60% water change today i found a few other places where there are bunches of them...

as a side note, yesterday (sat - we added about 100 or so assorted snails, received from reefcleaners.org, and not a single one of these guys had nor has a single spot on them and i would buy with confidence again. and will... )

what are these things? they look like little sunny-side up eggs. the are "crusty" on the glass, hard to the touch, and you can crumble them in your hand. Is it possible they are eggs from these new snails? if that's the case - that's awesome. if not, that sucks and i am done doing anything to this tank since it seems much better off without my help....
:)

I can see a few Asterina stars, but I have no idea what the fried eggs are. :?

Either starfish or some limpet. Can't really tell from the pics.

Got this from some one I emailed the photos to:

"I see some Nerite eggs in there, and in the last picture there is an asterina starfish. If the nerites have a lot of food they start breeding, they calm down as food runs lower. There young have a prolonged larval state though, and rarely survive to their metamorphosis stage."
