I've seen 5" ones. However, before my flatworm exit debacle, my 2" borb only grew about 1" over ~2 years (the other small one didn't grow much at all). They fed like pigs, so I know they weren't malnurished. I think they grow pretty slowly. My Bimac male grew a lot faster.

Are any of you guys familar with Prime Reef Aquatics.

They show Borbonius for $139 each. That's far cheaper than anywhere else on the net.

I'm think about getting a pair for my 24G cube.

Louey

IMO they're too big for a 24g cube (6"full size and I have seen them that size). I know of no anthias suitable for a 24g cube, sorry.

Maybe a single P. parvirostris. They only get 3". I'd say a trio but they are super aggressive once they turn into males. P. randalli could work singly as well.

P. ventralis/hawaiiensis stays very small, and could even work as a pair or trio...but then it's P. ventralis. Expect them to drop dead any minute for no apparent reason at all.

Dunno might just be your tank as the ones in my friends store have grown fairly fast. Of course they no longer school what so ever in his tank either.

Yeah, could be just my male. FWIW, mine never schooled, but they will interact with each other.

FWIU, they don't really school, but live singly. Apparently single specimens are found around coelacanth caves.
