I heard some talk about this lfs in Greenwhich, CT the other day. How it was the best thing on the planet. Well, I checked it out and let me tell you, it is. 8O Check out the web site. You know those gas station bathrooms you walk into and your like....I dont have to go that bad...thats Jacksonville's LFS's. This place looks like they took a ballroom dance club and made it into an LFS. Love it. Must have had good startup capital.

The owner, John, can be a bit gruff until you know him (known as the fish nazi). I've actually seen this guy refuse to sell livestock to people who didn't know what they were doing ("No fish for you!").
He also closed his store to run out and help someone I know who's tank sprang a leak!

That is actually the scariest thing I've ever heard! My lfs is also run by a guy named John and he's the exact same way. His store is made up of two rooms: the front room has things that most people can't keep (sharks, nautilus, rays, etc...) and the back room has all the reef fish. He doesn't let people he doesn't know into his back room if he doesn't deem them worthy haha. I've seen him refuse to sell fish to people and even block off the entrance to that room to prevent people from going in. Thankfully I'm on his good list

Skip you need to get out to see Jason's place.. it truly is one of, if not, the top LFS in the states. Ali's store in SOCAL (http://www.amazingaquariumsandreefs.com/) is a must see as well. Oddly enough, he and Jason are friends
Jason's prices are within the same margin as most quality stores. House of Fins is close by Jason's and they charge more inline with the area, but they are also a great shop. Both get soooo much rare and unusual specimens it's honestly not even funny. I get something every time I visit either and fly it home with me.
House of Fins is nice, I do agree. Only problem is the prices there are just crazy!!!!!!!!! Bag of live sand on line or in any other store $40, HoFs $80. It goes on and on.... Double the price on everything. Sometimes 150%. I have been in that store a couple of times and have literaly walked out in discuss after asking the price of something. If you have to ask there, you cant afford it.
