in sump p04 reactor

just wondering if anyone is running thier phosban reactors inside thier sump instead of hang-on....

i just got one today and i realize my sump took up the whole space of the stand and the lip to hang the reactor on is too fat ......i can find room in the sump...but hardly any room outside of it.......any suggestions appreciated....

you can hang it inside your sump, doesnt really make a difference

Yup, internal or external makes no difference.

Yep, either/or will work. Just remember not to dump the first couple of gallons of effluent back into your tank. Discard the first couple of gallons run through the Phosban.

thanks alot guys........also whats a good method to dump the first few gallons......can i fill a bucket of tap water and pump it through the reactor and let the discharge water go into the drain?

I would just run a couple of gallons of your tank water through it. Whatever you remove, just add that back as a water change. JM $.02

i run mine sitting on top of sump, i have one for carbon and one for phos, i run mine through my water change water

Prattreef runs his fully submerged in the sump. I have run it that way as well. No probs!

Nope, just hook your powerhead to it and toss it in the sump. No setup pics needed.

Internally you might run the risk of havig the outside of the reactor touch the water...Just kidding...
