2 x 150 HQIs on a 150g, will I get a decent shimmer?

I have a 150 reef already with 2 x 250s on it, but right next to it is going a 150 FOWLR and some softies.. mushrooms, zoas. I am probably going to go with T5s on this tank - 4 x 80w 60" - but I want some shimmer without putting 250 MHs over it. Don't want the heat, don't want the bill, but I don't want it to look too different from the light output of the reef.

Will 2 x 150 HQI bulbs give me a decent amount of shimmer at 27"?

What are the dimensions of the 150?

They will cover just about the same amount of space and the glitter lines should come close to the bottom. The only drawback is that the 150's will not punch the PAR as deep. I am not using T5s(plan to mix in the future) and I am not sure how deep they PUNCH.

The tank is 72" long and 27" deep. The only thing I'm looking for is the asthetics of the MH lighting, there will be enough light from the T5s to sustain the softies. I just want to make sure 150HQIs will put out enough light to hit the bottom with the shimmer lines.

The lines should hit bottom as long as you have plenty of surface aggitation.
