So I added a large tube anenome to my tank last night, it "reached out" and stung the end of the mouth of my 10" clam. That area is completely retracted and I can see the inside of the shell...

Question: do clams tend to recover well from stings or am I going to watch this thing die... before this it was very health and has been in my tank for 8+ years.

Thanks in advance for you replies.

:( I haven't a clue, sorry as I don't keep clams. But in the past I've had a tube 'nennie kill just about everything within reach coral-wise. Hopefully someone else will chime in here.

I have had clams recover from big injuries, so I would guess it will recover. Good flow, light etc, and of course, get rid of that anemone! :D
