My long pink tip last night got its tentacles stuck in the intake of the MaxiJet 1200. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that she was stretched out towards it. I noticed that she was sucked in. I turned off the jet and released her and noticed that a few of her tentacles were mashed up pretty bad. Her main body is fine. Im just worried if this can actually kill her.

It can if the water parameters aren't up to par. Watch it VERY closely for signs of disintegration.

The water parameters are ok except for the high alkalinity which Im trying to bring down . Someone told me that if I keep the calcium levels good, it may help the alkalinity drop.

Ammonia- 0
Nitrite- 0
pH- 8.2-8.4
Nitrate- 10
Salinity - 1.023

I have another question also. I have algae on alot of my rocks. Im trying to get rid of it. I have my lighting set to only 3 hours a day. Will this do anything to bring down the algae?

You're trying to do too much at once here. Let the algae issue settle down, since you've already got anemones in the tank. Reducing photoperiod can help, but it's no guarantee. That low level of nitrate may be an indicator of a larger nitrate problem, but the nitrate is possibly being fixed by the algae (not definite). Water changes as we recommended for fixing what was messed with when you tried to up the alkalinity.

Honestly, I think it's more a result of an overstocked tank. The three Clarkii clowns alone are enough in that small a system.
