i just recently bought a hammer coral in florida, and broght it back to cleveland with me it seems to be fine but i was wondering if they eat nething because i saw something that looks like a month , but idk .... the store i got it from said they dont feed it, but some websites say they do.
can anyone clue me in on this... any help would be appreciated

They do have orifices (to eat and excrete) but they needn't be fed. They can get plenty of energy from the water and light. Hammers grow very quickly, so I'm not convinced feeding is a desirable thing (as it will speed up growth rates).

I feed all my LPS meaty foods. when I feed the tank I target feed them

and why are you buying animals you don't know how to care for? do a little research BEFORE you buy.

how did you get it back to ohio? I'm currently in Cali and want to take stuff back to NYC with me when i go home...

i did research it and all the web pages told me i couldnt feed it and the guy that i got it from said he didnt feed it, and then a saw a mouth so i was wondering if i could feed it....... i drove it back in a styrofoam box over a 2 day period, and on the second day i put a heating pack in the box ontop of the news papers, do u no if the airline will let u bring live things in a small carry on bag

i feed mine. they grow faster that way. now i have to sell a few heads because they are stinging things that are too close.
