I have six days of vacation starting in April. What should i do to prepare my tank for the time off? My fish don't eat dry food yet but i am going to train them and use a feeder. I will also buy an ATO to top off my water. Is there anything else? Unfortunately i don't have any one who can come over to take care of the tank.

You have the lights on a timer? I'd decrease the photoperiod. It won't hurt the critters that much and would cut down on the evaporation.

I would make sure to do a water change before I left to ensure the tank gets refreshed with trace elements because you probably won't have anyone add suppliments to the tank. that's my 2 cents :) Good luck with that and have a great vacation!!!

Make some phone calls. Usually there is someone out there that can look after it. I hire the owner of my local LFS. He charges me about $50 to come over 2 times during a week when I'm on vaca.
If not, don't make any radical changes before you go away!
