Do you mean you started using a new salt blend post the outbreak, or where you using RedSea before and got a new batch? (grabbing at straws here for a reason...) You can always try blacking out the tank for 3-4 days, and I mean blocking out all light by totally covering it. I know it seems extreme, but I have had it work to slow down a bad outbreak.

A few tricks I use to tackle cyano is to change the bulbs (cyano pops up in my tanks when my bulbs are aging) and to drip kalkwasser. Elevated pH or alk (not sure which) seems to deter cyano growth.

again failure, i siphoned up the mess again, and did as suggested above by Len (thanks again) and the bloom setteled down for about 24 hours, slower growth rate, today is back in full force, im down to 6 hours of lighting and my corals are starting to notice and i think my clam is done for, ive bee stirring the sand bed about once a week and have changing power head angles to get maxium flow. water quality hasn't changed, i stopped dosing everything but flake food. is it possilbe to get bad lights from the manufacture? my MH are less then 2 months old and the PC are at 8months, im not sure what to do. my wife would like to sell it all and this is her excuse please help i searched everywhere.

thanks
