I've had a green sinularia for approx 2 years and it seems to have done pretty well. But every so often I notice it expelling, or it appears to, small black objects from its stalk. It happens over the course of several days and in random areas of the stalk, it seems odd. It seems quite healthy along with the rest of my inhabitants (leathers, lps, shrooms, and sps, etc). I have not noticed any other leather corals do this, is this a way of it secreting waste?

Anyone have this experience? Tank specs 46gal bf 206watts pc, 10gal sump, salinity 1.026, ph 8.3, alk 3.6, calcium 400+, nitrates not detectable, 50lbs lr, 1" ls, good flow (about 1,000+gallons per hour)

Other than a small cyano outbreak, which I think resulted from my moving the tank in the summer, the tank seems very healthy.

Any thoughts on the matter?

Thanks
