Just could not wait to show off my new addition. I was told it is not a very common type so correct me if I'm wrong with the name or its rarity.

The person I got it from called it a Montipora Mollis. It is in street terms referred to as a Purple Hulk.

Is this a Monti mollis?? if not please give me the correct name. Its the 3rd pic

The second pic is a nice Monti Digitata that Duane(Trido) gave me a frag of and its growing like a weed.

It is a m. mollis, they are not terriably rare. Not as desirable as the m. danae. They can be tricky. Not one of the hardiest of corals of the montiporas.

Cool buy. I like that stag you got.

It is not as hardy as a m. cap, not as hardy as a digitata, its not as hardy as danae. easy listed to hardiest. dr macs corals had some for 89 dollars. pretty good price for a true danae.
