I'm not entirely sure if your tanks iodine levels are too high, I guess the best way you can tell is that your coral polyps are looking well and fully extended. For the most part, I too had done soft corals with some SPS corals and so on, and with the stronger iodine I put in two drops every other day for as well, this might change somewhat once I start the reef tanks with only or mostly SPS coral under 250 watts MH.

So not over dose if that is what you did for I can say however that I not ever seen from others on over dosing iodine in their tanks, your the first as far as I know. So wait a while and continue again putting in drops and if your tank is a small tank, then just don't get yourself the stronger iodine.

And if your having some discoloration of your corals, it could be from improper lighting or something else, this will be difficult for one to say without knowing the history of your tank. So if your coral polyps are fully extended, your no problem with your tank iodine levels.

This is just my .02 cent worth

i dont think that adding iodine is needed if you are making water changes regularly ..
