I'm pretty much done stocking my tank again after that hideous boiling event. I want one more fish to finish my fish stock. Do you guys have a centerpiece fish, or maybe have a suggestion for one? I'm thinking about going nuts (price and risk) with a Conspic angel

I'm currently sporting a very rare Chromis LOL. Good luck, I always thought Harliquin Tusks were gorgeous.

Len, just get the fish you used to have again! :D

Then post pictures of all of your fish together, interacting in their 'home'. Emphasis on showing their 'home'. :)

I don't think I'll see another pair of earleis in the next 5-10 years :P I loved those guys. Beautiful and the best personality fish (both the male and female) I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I miss having the female swimming through my fingers as I worked in the tank.

I'd like a Moorish Idol if I could ever find one for sale that has already been kept in captivity sucessfully. Maybe someone has one that is out growing there tank....

I really want one now that I have seen them live while snorkeling in Hanauma Bay in Hawaii. I also saw them for shore right at the water's edge in Hilo Bay. Saw a school of four of them there. Awesome!

Right now, I guess my Sohal is my center piece fish. Or maybe my Tusk, but he hides alot.

Mine is the Lubbocks Wrasse right now. I am looking to add one more fish to my tank as well. I am limited on the size and type since i only have a 58G tank.

Rob, If you only have a male, consider a female. The courting and a displaying male is worth getting a duller female :) But I find female fairy wrasses really adorable.

Mine would be my sailfin tang. He is not the red sea kind. I have had him almost a year now. Other than him i do not have many other fish. I would say I am very lightly stocked.

I have a surprisingly healthy Potters Angel as my centerpiece fish. It is a great algae and eats all prepared foods I give it.

Females are much smaller (about half the size) and less colorful. Lubbocks aren't as sexually dimorphic as other fairy wrasses, but females are noticably different still. Just ask for the smallest specimen possible (2" or so). If yours is not a male yet, it will turn male when you add this female. All fairy wrasses are much more spectacular when you house them with females of the same species.

I'll go with my majestic angel.
A conspic would be amazing, but sooo much money. That is my one day "dream fish" if I get the right system going. I think I'd devote the tank to that one fish.

I've got a couple suggestions that you might consider (in no particular order, and linked from various websites):

blue_potters.jpg

(blue variant potters angel)

yelow%20crownd.JPG

(flavicoronatus butterfly)

masukudo-m.jpg

(male personatus angel)

indo-nishiki-gold.JPG

(regal angel variant)

apolkingi17cmht-2_193.jpg

(apolemichthys kingi)

But seriously, I think a conspic would be fine :P. It is sort of a "bose" of rare angels though. hehe ;)

Actually, I think for sheer visual appeal, a nice big Regal angel is pretty tough to beat.

Before you go ahead with this Len, I think you should be aware I don't much like the look of the Conspic angel. Knowing how much my opinion is key to all here, I thought I'd give you a heads-up. :P
