When I got my cube (65g) I ALMOST got a 110. Now I wish I had.

I DID, however buy equipment that can easily handle a 110 tank :) SOOOOO... All i need is a tank, stand, and plummin' and I should be set to go.

I think If I ever do a square tank again I'll make it no more than 20" though. it gets kinda burdensome getting my hand down into the bottom of a 2' tank.

Looks great though.. Congrats from a fellow "cube man"

Hey Karl,

How are the coral dealing with the natural sunlight? I have a feeling mine don't like it so much, but you know how that goes!

I really love the format of a cube. I don't think I'd have been able to get away with just one 400 watter if mine was more than 20". The depth is perfect for the lighting and maintenance.

Intentional Red Sea theme?

Yup! I had given up on finding a young Red Sea Regal Angel, so I went with the PT trio. I kind of wish I had gone with 5, as I'm no longer enamored with the lyretails.

Doesn't seem to bother them. I didn't experience any additional algae growth or temp change last year, and hope for the same this year. It's brief (maybe one hour), as the skylight that allows the sunlight to hit it is small.

I read somewhere before that a second photosynthetic peak spike can be beneficial during the day, but I don't remember why. Could be mimicking the intermittent-clouds effect.

Ah- thanks. My spot is hitting it from the front and I am totally seeing damage. Oh well.

Your tank looks nice.

I need to learn to read in pretty picture threads I saw the first picture and instantly thought "Karl! What happened to all your corals!?! I know you like the rarer stuff but geeze awfully small frags you got!" then I saw the 28 months ago.

So looks like you added a nano stream to the flow? Still pumping the 20K Radium bulbs too?

looking good bro! did you switch your rock work around? Nice looking yellow tang. If you want another yellow tang, I think my pops might be considering shutting down his tank. his tang is fat too. Let me if you are interested.

That's not what the studies I've seen posted have shown IIRC. Where's Chris J when you need him :) He's pretty darn up on that one ;)

Looking good, Karl! :)

What are the dark/black fish on the right of the tank? They look like wrasses...

Got any more pictures? We're hungry for more! ;)

I was dreading the addition, but knew I'd eventually need extra flow as things grow out.

Rocks are still in the same spot.

I do need to read up on those studies.

One is a Fourline Wrasse and the other is a Starry Blenny. I'll try and snap a few more this week.
