So, we had an engineer goby, got another one. After we put it in the tank never saw the second one again. Moved rock, cleaned, did water changes, nothing. Recently we took the first engineeer back to the LFS because he was becoming a nuisance. This morning I go over to look at the tank and find the beginning to decay corpse of the second engineer stuck in my filter nozzle. At first I thought it was a massive piece of algae that had developed, then I looked closer and it was the engineer! We pulled him out and he hadn't been dead very long. He seems to have been living and grow back in the sump of my cube. He was starting to get his adult markings and he was teeny when we got him.
