L Len Advanced Reefer Rating - 0% 0 0 0 Feb 12, 2006 #3 Power cycling may harm the pump from what I've read. "Soft starts" are suppose to help reduce this type of ware, so a timer with soft start (like many wavemakers provide) is probably a good idea.
