food shrimp in your tank

would it be reef safe to have a food grade shrimp in your tank? i was given one by a friend out here in florida who caught it. i have it in a separate tank but id prefer to break that tank down and put it in my main reef but i dont want to if it would be dangerous.

If I am not mistaken, which I could be, they are eating machines that will eat anything and everything including softies

I would recommend a tank of tempura batter followed by a tank of hot oil. MMMMMMM Beer batter mmmmmmmmm scampi mmmmmmmmm

i think noni (www.seawaterexpress.com) over at shorgy sells food-grade and ghost shrimp for their horses.

he may have some species more appropriate for reefs.

I'vr seem ome guy keep a "regular" shrimp in a reef tank. He did not have any problems with them. I do not know how they managed long term tho.
