I'm no expert, but it is only logical that a protozoan would go through it's lifecycle faster at a higher temperature. That theory should be true for all single celled life. At any rate, it couldn't hurt to up the temperature for the fallow period. :)

I also read it somewhere back when I had ich and I was reading everything I could find about it, but there is so much out there that isn't true, I try to use my own knowledge of biology (which is admitedly not that high) to logically verify theories like that.
