Len, refraining from asking you for pictures yet again, how quiet is that panworld? I'm trying to choose a return pump (about 1000-1200GPH at 5') that is quiet, which is the main priority this time around. Got any other suggestions along with the panworld?Len":2kkurl2a said:Hehe. I was about to take pics yesterday (seriously) but then I decided I had to work on the ca reactor
I don't have a closed loop. The OM is fed by my return pump which is a PanWorld 100PX or something like that. The other circulation devices are just my two Vortechs.
Thanks, Len! I'll be looking forward to the pictures as well. 8) And more questions are probably coming still, if you don't mind.Len":2jrs8f4x said:The panworld is as quiet as any pump with a fan I've used. It's quieter then the equivalent Iwaki. There is some vibrational noise as with any external pump, but if you put it on soft rubber, the noise is virtually all mitigated. I would recommend this pump. I like these sealed designs versus the direct drive designs (which are usually quieter but less reliable and heat the water more). Personally, I stick with Iwakis and now Panworlds for all my inline pump needs.
I got new fairy wrasses this weekend. New pictures (maybe even tank-wide shots ) are forthcoming.
