i think len has a predetermined number of requests that must be given before he takes more photos. at the rate we are goin' we might be close by xmas. prolly not thought.

Len is a solitary creature who hords all the photos for himself. you know damn well he has taken tons of progress photos to help document the thing. he just doesn't share well.

my daughter's preschool class is covering sharing now. Len you are more than welcome to join. it would prolly help you out a-bit!!! :)

Len, since the start of the tank, what pumps are you running? For your return and for the OM closed loop. And what other flow devices do you have in the display currently?

And while I'm at it, I'm going to put in my request for some pictures because it's been a while. :)

Hehe. I was about to take pics yesterday (seriously) but then I decided I had to work on the ca reactor ;)

I don't have a closed loop. The OM is fed by my return pump which is a PanWorld 100PX or something like that. The other circulation devices are just my two Vortechs.

Ah, gotcha. How is the OM working out for you? Is it set so it just cycles through the 4 outputs one by one?

Well, do we get pictures today, then? :P

The OM has worked great for over a year. No problems thus far. Yup, sequentially cycling for mine.

Len, refraining from asking you for pictures yet again, how quiet is that panworld? I'm trying to choose a return pump (about 1000-1200GPH at 5') that is quiet, which is the main priority this time around. Got any other suggestions along with the panworld? :)

The panworld is as quiet as any pump with a fan I've used. It's quieter then the equivalent Iwaki. There is some vibrational noise as with any external pump, but if you put it on soft rubber, the noise is virtually all mitigated. I would recommend this pump. I like these sealed designs versus the direct drive designs (which are usually quieter but less reliable and heat the water more). Personally, I stick with Iwakis and now Panworlds for all my inline pump needs.

I got new fairy wrasses this weekend. New pictures (maybe even tank-wide shots :P) are forthcoming.

Yeah right, And were actually going to have a decent president next term. I will believe it when I see it with my own two eyes and not a second before.....

Thanks, Len! I'll be looking forward to the pictures as well. 8) And more questions are probably coming still, if you don't mind. :P

Still waiting. ;)

Len, are you fine with your tank that deep? I just started a new thread to get people's opinions about 'deeper' tanks. You like the extra height?
