Catalina Aquarium MH bulbs?

Can anyone tell me about Catalina Aquarium 150 HQI bulbs.

When I order Ushio bulbs from "Pet Supply Liquidator", they sent Catalina Aquarium Bulbs. Since there is a relatively large price difference, I am not very happy.

But, the question remains, anyone use these bulbs? Had a good or bad experience with them?

I can't find any information about these bulbs beyond the general 10K temperature rating and "German Quality".

never heard of them... try emailing sanjay and see if he can help. he has tested hundreds of bulbs....

check the "reef lihting" link at the top of the page... he might have the bulb listed...

I've seen this bulb on only one occasion. Looks like any 10,000K, but I didn't have my Apogee PAR meter so I couldn't get a rough idea how effective they are. It's a relatively new company and I still don't know where the bulbs are being imported from. They sort of remind me of the old Hungarian 10,000K bulbs that were sold years ago ("German Quality") also rings a bell. These are much cheaper then the Ushio and weren't a big hit. I definitely would be upset and demand a refund or exchange. You did not get the bulb you ordered
