i just bought the jebo 180 skimmer, I KNOW that these skimmmers are crap but i needed something to hold me over for a couple months till i can get the skimmer i want. what i want to know is if someone had some sort of sucess with this thing and if they did how did they do it. did you change the pump, did you use it hang on back style, did you do the in sump set up? i have haad it for about a week and has pulled out absolutley nothing!! its like the bubbles do wanna reach the top of the colleection tub to fall into the cup. right now i changed it from hob to in suump to see if it works better. so if anyone has used these and gotten some sort of use let me know, like i said, all i need it for is like 2 or 3 months.

Heehehe I am the only man in the universe who has had success with Jebo products, I ROCK! :)

I had a Jebo skimmer, used the pump it came with, modified it to put it in the sump, which is really bad since the level of water in the skimmer depends upon the water outside, but it did pull pretty decently.

Well Black Thunder I wouldnt give up hope just yet.You come to RO,your problems get solved. Now that thing looks very similar to the infamous Seaclone. If you do a search youll find some good mods. The best in my opinion would be to run a small wooden airstone thru the top with plastic tubing to the side of the smaller inside tube where the bubbles enter.Get about a medium size airpump. Its easier than it sounds, let us know how it works out for ya.Post pics!

I've one for a while - I can't seem to get it to work either - when I start running it, the bubbles overlow the cup even with the air tube wide open.

If I lightly blow in the tube I can keep it below the cup.
