I've been feeding my sun coral brine and mysid every other day. About 3 days ago I added Cyclopeeze squirt to the tank... and the sun coral seemed to come out for it. Since then, the polyps have not come out, and each stump has gotten somewhat puffy and inflated looking.. I tried feeding yesterday, and polyps never came out.

I notice that when I feed brine, it feeds and then after eating, it puffs up similar to the way it is now. Is it acting the way it is now because of the cyclopeeze in the water? Anything I could do to make sure its alright? Should I hold off on the cyclopeeze and try feeding it at the same time again everynight with the brine/mysid?

check at night they should have there stalks out to feed, use a flashlight, if they are puffy it usually means they are digesting which on mine i have seen this happend for up to a day, i don't have mine in direct light so they seem to have off cycles where they remain bloated for extra hours, hope this helps i got mine from the LFS who went out of business finally (thank god it was so sad) i just hope they prosper, they are so pretty.

yup don worry too much sometimes it takes quite a while before you see them opening again and from wat I was told in my LFS, they said that when a sun coral is puffed up, it indicates that it is healthy and normal even though they are sometimes flat to the rock too.
hope this helps! :D
