Rust colored Algae

I have had this rust colored algae growing on my sand (along with some cyano) and partially on my live rock. It has been around from 1-2 months. My Nassarius snails seem to stay away from this. Any suggestion what this might be, and how I might be able to fix this? I am currently using a fuge as well.

most likely diatoms. get a conch and that will get rid of it in no time.

The diatoms are a symptom. Figure out what the problem is too. Agree with the conch idea... kinda cool to watch too!

What might be the problem underlying the diatoms. I do use ro/di water from the LFS.

You could always use a silica-absorbing pad for the diatoms.
