found out my water lines dont supply enough pressure and a mag 7 is what I have laying around.

I'm afraid that won't work, Benthos. You will need a pump more like one of these:

Do you run a line from the tap to the pump or can you just submerse it in a 55g barrel full of water and recycle your rodi waste water as well?

These pumps cannot be submersed. The first one from the url goes between the tap and the purifier. The second pump can draw water from a barrel and feed the purifier.
