I was at the local LFS and and saw a guy order a beautiful Sohal tang, probably a good 7-8" long. The LFS guy was new and just a kid. He didn't ask any questions, just promptly bagged up the fish. Then, another LFS guy walked over and started asking the customer about his set-up and whether or not he new the requirements for the fish. The customer had a 90 and didn't seem to know much about the fish. The LFS guy explained that a Sohal requires a minimum 150 gallon tank and will be aggressive toward other tank mates. He suggested that a yellow tang would be much more suitable for the guy's set-up, and the guy gave up the Sohal for the yellow. It's nice to see that some LFS's aren't just out to make a buck.

Especially because of the price difference between a sohal and a yellow tang. The one guy is sure a self-assured dude. :D

I used to (and thankfully do again) have an LFS like this..

The one I used to have was owned by a guy who now works for the MAC. - Now, one of his former employees has stepped up in his place.

Both are amazing people and excellent business owners. - I simply cannot say enough good about either.

If anyone finds themselves in Kalamazoo, look up Mothers Reef.

Even 150 is small for a 7-8" fish.

Nah......... He is still a LFS guy, better than the others, no doubt, but still not giving the full story.
