My nitrates have been 20 for the past 3 days, I think I got carried away with feeding my tank golden pearls and cyclopeeze lately. I do reg. water changes (every 2 weeks).I got aqua c remora skimmer 2 weeks ago would brake in period for skimmer had any effects to nitrates beeing high.
would increasing light time on my refugium help-have cheato in it and light is on over night 9p-9a, should I increase it to 24/7 :?: .
thanks

Skimmer shouldn't effect that at all, and running the lights more won't help I don't think. How about more info on your tank? How long has it been set up, bioload, etc?

Number one, be sure you have a good test kit if nothing in the tank appears to be suffering due to the levels.

The sure way to take nitrate down is by doing water changes, I'd do 20% every couple of days for a while and stop or cut way back feeding the tank until things level.
