...after 20 days under a dissecting scope. The actual bite was very tiny, this is the erosion of my flesh after the proteolytic enzymes in the octo venom went to work. I had a hole in my hand about the size of a BB at one point. Nastay!

I let her crawl on me, and then someone else ticked her off by poking at her. Hopefully Dr. James Wood will be posting my account of it on his website, The Cephalopod Page, along with the pic. She's really nice now, she takes shore crabs right out of my hand and doesn't bite. She just didn't like being caught :D

Looks bizarrely like a miniature version of a part of some humans' bodies.

No medical attention. I just washed it with soap. I wasn't aware O. rubescens had venom :D

You call that a wound? Size of a BB?

Why don't you make another posting some time when you really get bitten?

Damn Matt that is soooooo cool.

Yeah, I want one too! Is there anything in your tanks or the schools tanks you haven't been bitten by yet?

Arlan

Hehe, probably not. Did I ever tell you about the lionfish biting me...three times I think it's been now?

Hey, have you been going to the MARS meetings?

Nope, I just emailed him to ask if they were venomous. Then he asked for a pic and a little story. I'll update it if he does.

Hey, whatever happened with the MARS thing?
