anemone shrimp

I was thinking of getting an anemone shrimp either a sexy anemone shrimp (Thor amboinensis) or a whitespot anemone shrimp (Periclimenes brevicarpalis) for my tank. I have a 38 gal. with 2 false percs, a yellow-tail blue damsel, scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, serpent star, a few hermits and various snails. and a couple of BTA and various soft corals. would either of these guys do okay? i guess i'm worried about the serpent star eating them or something like that. which one of these shrimp do people like better/will do better in a tank?

I think your fish would get the sexy shrimp before anything else could. IMO way too small to have in a tank with fish other than small gobies, I think it would be a very expensive meal for the fish. Im not famillar with the other shrimp you mentioned.

i had a sexy shrimp in my tank. of course i got it on one of those impulse buys. the shrimp dident alst 20 seconds in my tank... my 2 clowns and damsel made a quick meal of it

That's weird. I added 4 sexy shrimps to my tank 10 months ago with a 4" Hippo tang, a Black Leopard wrasse, 3 Ocellaris clownfish, and a Flame angel. No problems so far. I also have a Red Serpent star and a pair of Fire cleaner shrimps. No one goes near the sexy shrimps.

I like the Atlantic anemone shrimp, can't think of the name, they are a good bit larger than the sexy shrimp and have a clear body with white bands. Seem to be very hardy. They will do fine in a buble tip. One of mine is in a rock anemone and doing fine.

Are you talking about pederson's shrimp? These are pretty cool.

I have four in my 100. Got two big ocellaris, royal gramma, yellow goby etc... nothing messes with mine.

Try feeding your fish perhaps
