Found this on another forum, but it suited us so well that I thought I would post it here :)

How many reefers does it take to change a light bulb?
  • 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.

  • 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs, and discuss how the light bulb could have been changed differently.

  • 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.

  • 1 to move the discussion to the Lighting section.

  • 2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section.

  • 7 to point out spelling and grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs.

  • 5 to flame the spell-checkers.

  • 3 to correct the spelling and grammar flames.

  • 6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... and another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid.

  • 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp".

  • 15 know-it-alls who claim that they were in the industry, too, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct.

  • 19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs, and people should please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum.

  • 11 to defend the posting to this forum, saying that we all use light bulbs, and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum.

  • 36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs works best for this technique, and what brands are faulty.

  • 7 to post URLs where one can see examples of various light bulbs.

  • 4 to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly, and then to post the corrected URLs.

  • 3 to post about links they found from those URLs that are relevant to this group, which makes light bulbs relevant to this group.

  • 13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety, including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too".

  • 5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light-bulb controversy.

  • 4 to say, "Didn't we go through this already, a short time ago?"

  • 13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs".

  • 1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

Sumpsters can't change lightbulbs, sadly the operation requires a turn to the right!

You forgot about the 5 highjackers who discuss keeping yellow tangs in 29gl tanks with the above said lights.
Oh, and 1 that asks if said light is causing a clown fish to swim funny.

David Mohr

Amongst your neighbors you are farthest left of anyone within 4 counties. You have to go to either Montgomery or Atlanta to be consider right. :P

Pet peeve time.

When you screw something in, it is not being "turned to the right."

It's being rotated clockwise as viewed from above.

I dated a woman once and she was attempting to screw a screw, and she looked at me and said, now what was it, Righty tighty and Lefty loosie?

Geez, make me puke. Just screw the damn thing in woman. If you turn, and it AIN'T goin in, then turn it the other way. And then try to remember that way for next time. And by the way, the direction of turning is THE SAME AS EVERY FREAKING SODA BOTTLE, JAR, cream, shampoo, AND any other thing you ever screwed, with the unobvious execption of the front left spindle nut of a VW beetle circa 1972, if you ever happened to screw one of those, which was counter threaded, and I'm sure more than one backyard mechanic found that out the hard way.

SO anyway, i have a clown that is swimming anti-clockwise, would changing to a standard 60 watt lightbulb help him, or do i need a specialist push in bulb?

Haha, that's funny. I can add one, my children were bickering the other day and my 8 y/o told my 10 y/o that she smelled like skimate!

I was kinda' proud my youngest daughter knew what skimate was.
