title says it, I'm having a lot of hard to get rid of algae growth on my front glass. my mag-float wont get it off and I have to scrape with a razor blade. it's not film like most green algae, it grows in areas of tiny spots. it comes of fine with the razor but grows right back.

any way to control the stuff? going through that razor blade shpeal every other week is a major PITA! thanks

..."but grows right back"..., ..."every other week"... hummmm thats factualy incorrect.

Razor is the only thing that works, but not all razors are the same (shape) and some do the job much better than others or are less PITA whorthy.

Coraline algea is desirable in reef aquariums but not on your glass. Wipe your glass down daily with the mag float. The front of my glass is clean but I have tons of the stuff on the back.

ITs not that you are doing anything wrong, its what you are doing right. It took almost a year for coraline to grow well in my tank.
