Just tried to glue flex drain hose to schedule 40 PVC using PVC cement. Well, it doesn't work.
After curing it for several days and trying it in the system the joint leaked badly. I pulled the pieces apart (first bad sign) and there was evidence the solvent had "melted" the schedule 40 PVC plastic but the soft black plastic inside the flex hose was unphased. Stuff is like teflon. Anyone know what kind of plastic the flex hose is made of and what solvent works? Thanks!
