I just discovered my two blue hippo tangs to have two tiny white spots each, my cleaner wrasse has been trying to clean them off, they are very lively and eating good.
I have been feeding garlic soaked foods.
I have a liter of Ruby reef "Kick Ich" standing by.
None of the other fish show any spots.
Do I wait or do I dose?

Hi SG,
This is my opinion, but I would not use anything to "dose" for ich, or cryptocarion. The best thing that worked for me was hyposalinity, or reducing the salt to about .014. You should also QT your fish before you put them in your main tank. That way, you can prevent this in your main tank. Do some searches here for hyposalinity, and you should have all the information you ever want on the subject. :)
All the best,
~wings~

After a quick check tonight, I see no spots on them, they look happy, the cleaner wrasse has been their companion, keep your fingers cross for me...

Great!

I would say never put any 'reef safe' ich medication in a reef because they aren't reef safe and they don't cure ich! :D
