I want to add 2 SEIO 820s to my 180 reef. The tank has a center overflow with 2 returns (loc-line) from the return pump (1550 gph before head loss) and is 72x24x24.

Where in the tank do I put these? The canopy is custom acrylic and has no doors, nor does it hinge up, so I had to drill 3" holes in the top rear of the tank (also acrylic) to feed the tank. These holes are in the rear corners for ease of access, but I worry that if I corner the 2 powerheads and face them in, the fish won't be able to get through the current to feed. Conversely, the powerheads may actually push the foods further into the tank and disperse them.

What do you all think?

Thanks
Chris

I got one from Marine Depot to try. Neat pump :) Anyhow, why not put it on both sides of the overflow, directed outwards towards the front two corners of the tank? The only other spot I can think of is the front top corner of the tank, but that would be terribly unsightly ;)
