Keep reading. The $100+ was not the price the guy was proposing. He was talking about in the $20-$40 range.

Still, it is a bit more than the Rancor cost  .

I just thought I would point out this thread for those still looking for a mantis.

I only read the first page.. I just saw the prices and crapped my pants... Yeah i got a steal on Rancor.. He is really cool...i gave him some snails, which he imediately took to, however he was unable to break the shells, he did hit them, he gave up and hasnt bothered them since...funny thing too..i was at the LFS the other day buying those snails when the guy there gave me a free percula..some guy dropped off some fish and an eel and the LFS guy didnt have a quarantine tank up for them so he gave me what i wanted..unfortunately all i had room for was the clown...anyways, the clown wasnt accepted by the other two which are clarks.....the percula jumped out, which my wife rescued and put in the Mantis tank..so far so good...going on a week with the percula with the mantis...Rancor doesnt seem to care about the fish...just a funny little story..(i do fear he may end up getting the clown though)
