There is another new store in downtown Raleigh
AquaEscape that's pretty cool. The one in Durham is good too.
It good to see other people in NC on here. What kind of system do you have. Oh I am from Greensboro. One of the bigger local shops here Aquamains does not impress me all that much. They have good intentions but there, they seem to have problems with there fish sometimes. I will have to check out those two store when i'm in the area sometime. Thanks to both of you for the info. Take it easy
I don't have much of a system as of now
I have a 90 gal with 4 x 40W of NO fluorescents,
that has some water in and a DSB. I'm getting ready to order the second batch of LR and get to cure it. I'll be adding the first fish sometime at the end of this Spring...
There is a Raleigh shop (the one on Capital) and a Durham shop that are OK, but they do not compare with the online shops.
cool, thread. Thanks for the tip on the new shop on Peace St. I didn't even know it was there.
Fish World on Capital used to be the place to go, but IMO it has declined in the last year or so and I rarely find it worth the effort to drive all the way across town.
Fish Pro's near the fair grounds is ok.
With both, prices are considerably higher than online, but I try to support them when possible.
Haven't been to the one in Durham.
I am in Cary also, and have been wishing for years that someone would open a nice SW shop in Cary/Apex area.
There is a frag trading group in the area, haven't met anyone yet or been to the meetings, but maybe someone will jump in.
One more place to try is reefscience.com (He's a home MO biz in Apex) He has only the top quality corals (mostly sps) and sells them at a hard to beat price. You'll have to contact him independantly though.
