I stopped reading pretty quickly because is smells way too much like a scam. No real information on the front page, and they want your contact info to send you an 'executive summary'. Bold white text, highlighted in blue on a black background and their excuse that there site is designed to be hard to get through on purpose is a scam move. That they are offering discounts with out even telling you what they are selling is a scam move. That they say they will give discounts if you send people to their site is a scam move.
Also this quote scares me off:
They are designed for those who simply want,
and can afford, the best of everything.
They are selling stuff, and they want you to buy it by making you feel like you are in a secret club.

Very funny people out there... :D

To make the file sizes more manageable, downloading the Information Package is a three-step process. Downloading in steps also allows you to start reading our material while you are waiting for the next download.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Downloaded Version of our Information Package includes a number of internal links, and also links to this Website. To make sure the links will work, please use the following procedure:

RIGHT-CLICK on each link provided below.

NOTE: Don't use the standard left-click for this step. Although left-clicking will also open the files, it makes saving them more complicated!

In the choices that should appear, select "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As...."

Click on the "Save in" box and select the directory or folder where you want to save the files.

The correct file name for each download file should appear automatically. However, if you need to enter the name manually, the correct file names are provided below.

Click on the Save button to save the file.

Repeat this procedure for all three files to be downloaded.

After you have downloaded and saved all of the files, start Acrobat Reader, and then use it to open each file.

For your convenience, you can also use Acrobat Reader to print the pages in all of the files if desired. (Of course, the quality of the printed and color material will depend on the capabilities of your printer.)

Important Notes:

Don't close this window until you have downloaded all three parts or you will have to fill out the form you just finished all over again!

Download each part in order.

Save all three files using the names provided below.

Save all three files in the same folder or directory.

Well, after downloading almost 20 MB of pdf files, I see nothing more than what you see in some tabloid magazine in supermarket checkout... I strongly encourage people to go to the site download the document and start reading. Good entertainment.

Oh, BTW, I was just commenting on the style of their material/information. I made no comment to the technical content. Some of the "technologuies" are used in this hobby, but without the funny names and high price.

Are these guys stoopid or what?

Question #1

Is your aquarium equipment
slowly poisoning the aquarium
animals you are trying to keep alive?

Answer #1

The answer is YES if you are
using a Bacterial Filter!

In case you are not sure what a "Bacterial Filter" is, examples include Undergravel Filters, "Hang-On" Power Filters, Rotating Bacterial Wheels, Canister Filters, Wet/Dry Filters, Deep Layers of Sand (with or without plenums), Fluidized-Bed Filters, "Berlin" or Live-Rock Systems (with or without Protein Skimmers), and most other filter systems typically sold by Pet Shops.

What kind of systems are there left to even use?

Very difficult to navigate, but it looks like they're advocating algae scrubbers (refugia, for those of us who are vocabulary-challenged).

>... What kind of systems are there left to even use?

Appearantly, no bacteria can live on any of the products they sell.

Well, it's only a matter of time before someone jumps in here and says something along the lines of...

C'mon guys, give it a chance! My uncle's brother's son has had one on his system for 2 weeks now and his xenia is opened up more than ever. He also added MH lighting as an upgrade from NO flourescent and removed the butterflyfish that was picking at the xenia 2 weeks ago. However, I'm willing to bet it was the grand he spent on this system that is responsible.

http://www.aquaricare.com/shop/on-line- ... #SurgArium™%20EcoSystems™:

Scroll all the way to the bottom and you can see what they are selling. Looks like aquariums with built in surge devices, Tank Topper's (add water to your aquarium to replace water as it evaporates), Algae Scrubbers, wave makers, Reservoirs (sumps), Supplemental Systems (skimmers, etc.) and all the other "scamy" items none of us would ever use in our tanks.

C'mon guys, give it a chance, a surge device might be a good idea and I hear the use of sumps and skimmers might actually benefit your tanks. I think the problem is these guys make it sound like these items are cutting edge when in reality they have been available for many years.

I'm looking for the "scam", but can't find it. They are selling the same equipment that most, if not all of us already use. Their site is really difficult to navigate but other then that I have no problem with what they are selling.

Its not the items that are scamy (though I will have to take your word for it because I didn't get that far), its the way they being are sold/pitched that is scamy.
