This is what my tank looks like at night with my 6' blue rope light (AKA moonlights).....I have seen some today that give the tank a more whitish coloring than blue and was wondering if anyone has seen any that give the white look instead of the blue and is there a benifit to one or the other? This is the link I found on ebay.....

I have a single moonlight module, since my tank is only a 30gal. I was thinking about putting a second one, but I think it good for the fish to decide if they want to be in the light or not. Anyhow, mine gives off a more whitish moonlight glow compared to a blue one. It's still on the cool side, but I think it really looks more natural than a blue tinted version.

I've experimented with the CSL moon lite and the Marc Weiss (no jokes, please!) "Moonshine" light.

I like them both - but I prefer the blue Moonshine light. However, the latter is rather pricey.

Actinic 03 blue moon lights bring out a lot more flourescence.
