I was at my Local LFS the other day and in a tankful of wild-caught juvenile Pajama Cardinals there was what looked exactly like a almost full-grown Pajama Cardinal but it was black and silver/white,,, similar colors to a Banggai but the shape and pattern were like a Pajama.

The owner had no clue what it was,,, anyone any ideas? Maybe some kind of cardinal I've never come across or a hybrid?

Don't make me go down there and take a picture of it!

probably some sort of apogon cardinal. lots of species in the genus that all look alike. search on that. It may be full grown and likes to school. Very big in Japan. they use them in small tanks as the only fish.. They school really well.
