I`ve got a naso in one of my tanks that changes color all the time. When he gets spooked he lies up on the bottom of an overhang and turns very dark gray with yellow spots.I know he`s camouflaging himself.Maybe he`s just stressed.

rossi,

FWIW, Scott Michael recommends feeding a mostly vegetable diet including lots of brown sea algae and keeping this tang in a 135 gallon tank.

My naso took several weeks to settle down and much of the time it wouldn't eat. I thought for sure it would die. It came around and became a pig.

It wasn't a bully, but it was more of a peace keeper. If two other fish started fighting it would get in the middle and slash at the aggressor.
