I have a soft tree coral and it has been losing some limbs, is there a reason for this? Everything else seems to be ok, except that my Grenorian has some green alage on it and has not been shooting out it's polps like it used to. All my reading are ok.

I'm guessing it's a capnella species , the coral. If so it's completely normal and how they reproduce. These are one of my favorite corals but honestly it gets out of control with it dropping off babies weekly - you will find small ones all over the tank.

If you like you can take the new colonies while they are still loose and tie them to some rubble and make frags.
