Well, I had a bit of bad luck and sometime yesterday water was splashed up on the mh bulb. I didn't know it, but it had cracked and seperated about an inch. I did notice that nothing in the tank waas extended and just didn't look right. I found the bulb this morning and realized I had been submitting all of my corals, etc. to high levels of UV. They are still closed up and withdrawn today and the BTA is bleached at the tips. Will they get over this, or will this get worse?

Im sure they will get over, it will probably take a little time. Kinda like a sunburn some of them might shed (peel) and grow new skin.

That's cool. Just wasn't sure of the prognosis. I now need to figure out a way to shield the bulbs from splash. At 100 bucks a pop, I can't afford to replace the bulbs every 2 weeks.

IF you figure it out, let me know. I just recently started using MH and I have been lucky so far. :D
